Three instrumental tracks on this album refers to when the first (of three) inquisitions was formed. This very first song on the CD only points out the year of which this happened and can be refered to as a landmark to when the persecutions began with the blessings of the organised church. Somewhat eerie this track enters with a few guitarstricken notes and swells into a horrorlike mood. Being the first of the two introductions on this CD it basically just sets the dramatic landscapes for what is to come. "Anno Domini 1232" is a rather different instrumental track for ElviraMadigan in the sence that it is not that very symphonic and keyboard oriented - but more to be affiliated with the progressive scene. It was one of those tracks written and recorded quite fast but was never thought of as an opening entity. However, fate proved otherwise! |
