Funny how some artists get connected to only that one particular hit they had during a certain period and whatever they may have released earlier or what they release from there on become overshadowed. Such is the case of Chris deBurgh who got a smash hit in the eighties with a cheezy saucy ballad about a woman wearing a certain colour. I remember my father thought it was a good song (how funny the taste of the older generations at times appear) so he bought the album. And me and my brother and sister had to listen to those albums whenever we went somehere in his car. He bought yet another album with Chris deBurgh after a while but didn't like much of it. But heck... I did! On this album there were tales of "strippers", the crusaders and a chilling symphonic song about how the Devil lures God into a game of cards to cheat and win thousands of souls. I loved the stuff! It was so theatrical and far from that ballad we all had to hear over and over again on radio during this period, and it was the same guy behind it!

I have since that period grown up however (just slightly though) and bought a couple of other albums with this particular artist and found many possible tracks to recreate for this coversalbum. I ended up with this track at my own surpise though since I never thought it possible to recreate a simular effect of drama without the use of an orchestra which mr deBurgh used himself. I had to think little of how the original sounded and just go with the storyline and how it is told to provide the right feel, so it sounds a little different but feels rather simular!
